Changing ambient music

chosen man

Landlubber
I have a few questions that one of you nice chaps may be able to answer for me.

I seem to remember a mod that was available that changed the music to some of the tracks from 'Master and Commander' I've looked for it on the net, but cant find it. So I purchased the cd and have been trying to figure out a way to do it. I have to admit I have given up rather quickly as it occured to me to ask my learned peers, some of whom would have an instant answer, and thereby saving me a lot of time and head pain.

I assumed it would be simply to convert the wav files to .ogg files and rename them to correspond with the original content. But so far, the game seems to ignore the files I have placed in the music folder. Any thoughts?
Apologies first and foremost for my cheek, and secondly for my n00bness. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The easiest thing to do is to go to the link in my signature and download the M&C music pack from the Downloads page. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Or you can do what I did, download a file converter, change mp3 tracks to ogg, then edit the music alias file!
Now I have music from CBP and DMC.

Cheers guys, I knew I could get a 'get out of jail free card' here... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
