Character

I tend to play just as Nathaniel Hawk (Boring, I know). But I also play as Nigel Blythe's evil twin brother, Will 3.
 
I play as Hawk too. Usually I like to get Ralph Fawn as one of my officers (from the tailor shop), and while I haven't had her in the game much lately, I do have my "Catalina The Pirate" skin - but again, she's an officer, not one I play as... I play with "Blazie" - my "feminisified" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> version of Blaze (Nathaniel)... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

And then I every now and then try out my new models, but sometimes I set them as my officers instead. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Been thinking I'd like to re-skin Nathaniel so as to have him as an officer as well as a character... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />
 
My kid likes to play as the guy in the tricorn hat and black uniform coat (Corsair1_1), so I hardcoded that as a start instead of the bathrobe (but I can't remember where right off hand). But when I start, I head straight to the tailor for the one that looks like Ewan Glover (will2), then I use Corsair1_1 for a bosun. There's another corsair skin that's just like Corsair1_1 but with a blue coat. I can't remember where I find it, but when I do, I use it for a second bosun.

Sir Christopher Mings, (Mings is on the right asking Fred Bob if he has seen my priceless collection of Spanish Doubloons, I've always been something of a collector...)

or my "Christophero Sly" model, which is a mix of bocman and pirat11 (Skull)

The "Sly" picture is a little old now, I've tinkered with the model since and made his hair color consistent and given him a Navy colored jacket so it doesn't look too much like Skull's. (Which it is... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" /> )

I also drag Fred Bob and Skull around the archipelago with me, making frequent stops for libations and potty breaks, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/beer2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":beer" border="0" alt="beer2.gif" /> with only the exception of boarding actions because the two of them tend to kill everybody off and leave none for me! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ib012.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cry" border="0" alt="ib012.gif" />

I'm still tinkering with the portraits for the model whenever I have time .... whenever that is. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

HKD, the "Skull" model is in the game already, it is pirat11 and I think it's called the "Black Pirate" and to my embarrassment, I've forgotten the name of the member who modded pirat10 to make pirat11. It can be bought in the shops, I think most of them, but certainly the one at Quebradas Costillas or the Pirate Camp at Douwesan. I just call it the "Skull" figure because I know Skull favors it, and I imagine it is a pretty good likeness... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate_plain.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p3" border="0" alt="pirate_plain.gif" />

I'm thinking of trying my hand at my own Jack Sparrow model, I've never seen Kodo Boon's, and calling it Mad Jack, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" /> to complete my crew. At this point I use the model that's already in the game for Mad Jack.

I used the Pirate 10 to reskin and make 50grey1 which I use as Avatar and game character.
 
Nathaniel would have been a common name for those times, Captain Cannon. Its biblical, and for some reason, the people of that time liked biblical names, or the names of kings.

Just recently when I was bugtesting, I was in the Oxbay port area and came across 50grey1 and stood there looking at him in first person - TRULY, Petros, you did a wonderful job skinning him. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
