int ENABLE_CHEATMODE = 1;
// 1: Enable cheatmode (cheats can be triggered with numpad buttons)

Finish, juas. By whit jack sparroy its in level 40. Your up the level. jiji

NUMPAD should be turned on 0 = godmode 1 = lvl up companion 1,

Let me explain then, matey <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

open the file BuildSettings.h and change

int ENABLE_CHEATMODE = 1;

to

int ENABLE_CHEATMODE = 0;

then you just have to go back to your game and use the numpad buttoms to activate the cheats....simple like that....now, i dont know what every numpad buttom is for, but, according to our Thomas here, pushing the Numpad 0 buttom you will get godmode and turn your character invencible, pushing the Numpad 1 buttom you will make your first officer to gain a level.

Got it now? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

It's an int? It's supposed to be a #define! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
Anyway, check the key list in the buildinfo folder for what the keys do.

well, i dont know, Pieter....i never used the cheats and dont intend to use them ever, so i cant be of many help for him, but if someone can correct me, it is better for Kain ^^

i dont used the cheats, but in build 14 A8, whit Jack Sparroy have the level 40 and dont have skills. I use the cheats correctly. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

yeah, that would be fair <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

I've been out of the picture for awhile with some health problems, but I'm back up and at 'em, ready to have a look at what's new in the wonderful world of the build mod.

I have a question in relation to the cheat mode in alpha 8 myself. I don't even have the cheatmode toggle in my buildsettings.h file. I've looked all about and I can't find it anywhere. I use the cheats to test some of my own modding work (its a little annoying to die in the middle of a test.)

In any case, its not in the buildsettings.h. Before I left, I remember that that was where it could be found, but I lost all my original files in some computer malfunctions, and had to start over. Now I can't find the cheat settings so I can efficiently get back to work on my modding. Any ideas as to where it went?

EDIT: Nevermind. I found it. Cheers! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/treas1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":treas" border="0" alt="treas1.gif" />

Just so people know, I'm doing some updates on the Cheatmode as well.
Anyway, I've changed the Level Up cheat to also give you new SKILLS with Auto Skill System ON. It wasn't doing that before.
Next up... see if I can figure out how to allow you to apply all cheats to your officers/companions too.

All for the purpose of testing, of course.... :rolleyes:

HA! I've got cheats working quite nicely for yourself, all your officers and all your crew.
And as a bonus, toggling ships chasing you on the worldmap and storms on/off is reinstated too.
Useful for testing purposes, I think. :cheeky

This is now included in Beta 3 WIP 9: http://www.piratesahoy.net/threads/build-14-beta-3-progress.20686

These are all the new Cheat Options:
Code:
    > Numpad 1-2-3 allow you to select the character to apply the cheat to
    > Numpad 8 disables worldmap storms and ships chasing you
    > Godmode includes crew immortality
    > Level Up and Fake Level Up automatically increase your skill points if you use Auto Skill System
    > If you get the Shotgun from Clint Eastwood, when you are fighting with it Tab will allow you to go into Shotgun Mode
I can't think of anything more that would really need to be added. If anyone comes up with anything though, let me know.
