Firstly, many thanx to all involved in creating the build mod (in its many versions) brilliant job.

I'm on a very slow dial up connection so tend to do most of my larger downloads from work (broadband connection) and dump them to CD. Is there a version of Build 12 that I can download (ie complete download, not just the 3 meg installer), without having to have POTC installed?. Obviously, I don't have POTC installed at work <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> and would rather download the complete package all in one hit from work.

Download it, and put a registry stting in the computer, that makes the installer think you ahve PotC installed, intsall the Build to any folder, zip it, and burn it on a CD. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I be a wonderin' where to find meself dee latest build? Avast, me finds meself has no connection on dee machine I be a' playin' on, and so I finds meself stuck on a reef - a wonderin' just how I might loot this 'ere Build and transfer it to me gamin' machine back in me ship's cabin (the lead post addresses this, however I download on a school computer where I cannot edit the registry).

Why can't you edit the registry? Not permitted by the teacher or not permitted by the computer. I think with a school computer, if you don't have admin capabilities, you're out of luck trying to edit the registry. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diomed.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dio" border="0" alt="diomed.gif" />

It's no trouble for me to make a single file Build 12 installer. Storage is the only problem. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

I can disable the checking for a valid install of PotC easy enough, and can do that for both installers.

I'm also reviewing NK's notes on the Euro problem.

With a wee bit of shuffling, it would be an easy thing to add an `11-to`-12 update option without increasing the space demands on the server. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

I still have to sort out the scripting for the delocalization routines, but Nathan sent copious notes on the subject and it shouldn't be a terribly difficult thing to add, once I can devote the extra time to it.

Currently, for DSL, it be takin' `40-45` minutes to do de download an' install. A single compressed archive would prolly download faster for people with broadband and then thay could install it at their leisure an' not have tew download it agin if'n they ever be `re-installin`'. De udder issue be de Registry check bidness, which makes it hard fer folks tew actually have a reuseable, reinstallable installation. Right now, ye has tew make yer own installation after downloadin' into an empty folder, which not all folks be comfortable doin'! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
