Ok. As far as I'm able to tell, there are 3 potentially conflicting situations in a town, one has conquered:
1. Being recognized as a pirate by a random patrol. I have already uploaded a savegame in another thread about this.
2. Fall victim to a tavernbrawl. The brawlers stay put. And everybody else enters warrior mode. I upload a savegame from the tavern in La Tortue for this situation here.
3. Being recognized as a pirate by a citizen.
