I have named my ship after the famous Ark Royal <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> true brit at heart <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I sail abroad my ship the Fun For All, I wont say which type of ship coz its constantly changing although my favourite is the brigantine.

Hi to all..
Just arrived here at Tortuga with my little fleet.

My flagship is the Ship of the line "Le Glorieux".
followed by the Large frigate "La Fier"
and the Frigates "La Victorieuse", "La Vaillante" and "L´Impetueuse".
Last but not least the Brig of War "La Hirondelle".

I´m an `old-timer` player of the first `C-64` Sid Meier´s Pirates.
Now I´m 41 and in still good health.

BTW, the historical "Le Glorieux" was a `74-gun` Ship of the line build in 1756 and commanded from 1776 to 1784 by Paul Donatien Bloumville De Revué, this was my ancestor in the real life, and was part of the famous Escadre d´Amerique under Admiral D´Estaing supporting the American Colonies in the American War of Independence against the England. I can say I´m really very proud of him and his deeds of more than 200 years ago.

If needed I´m deeply involved in historical research of the `16-17`-18th Centuries navies, and at disposal for informations on such topics.

And now the first tour of Rum and Wine is on my count! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

I have been using a Sloop as a "pathfinder" for the Large Frigate <i>Scythehammer</i> (it makes moving much, much faster!)

The Sloop is named after a small stuffed toy I have - it is called <i>The Hodgebeast</i>.

Hehe... my terrier "loves" his hedgehogs! Grrr! As for me, I sail a frigate - the "Budgie Bite". I was tempted to keep what'`s-his`-name's flag galleon, but found the frigate to handle better - yet boast `near-equal` firepower. Besides, a `smaller-size` frigate was perhaps the limit of what would have been truly “feasible” for real pirates to operate - larger third, second, and (`god-forbid`) `first-rate` ships being simply too slow and ponderous to catch the lighter, faster merchant ships of their time (the smallest of the 17th century frigate class would, after all, represent the peak in sail area to weight ratios from that period in the age of sail… resulting in some of the fastest true “combat” ships in the world during that time).

<div align="center">My preference in ships generally veers towards Royal Sloops or Sloops of War, for speed, though I also like the Brigantine. I generally name my flag ship 'The Eternal Host,' after which I choose among these:

Hand of Glory
Exquisite Corpse
Lupine Blue
Red Admiral
Painted Lady

<b>{</b> `Stig-Ma` <b>}</b>
</div>

The names of my current ships are as follows

Large Frigate(flagship)-"Hells Fury"
War Galleon-"Grail of the Sea"
Brig of War-"Morgans Disgrace"

I named the Brig of War "Morgans Disgrace" because that is the ship I used to capture Henry Morgans Large Frigate which is now my Flagship.I just ran circles around him firing broadside after broadside of grapeshot into him until his crew was knocked down enough for me to take easily.

Too true. By the way, I´d go for the Brigantine or Brig of War, it´s equal in firepower to the frigate, but faster and more agile. I always try to get the fully upgraded one from one of the famous pirates as soon as possible.

I like " Victorias Enigma" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

I have a couple of names I use

Black Rose-Flag Galleon
Ebonrose-Brig Of War
Draconiean-SOTL
Tempest-War Galleon
Bloodangel-Frigate
Bloodshead-Lrg Frigate
Deathshryke-Royal Sloop

I usually keep Five of the listed ships above.....I like how the different ships handle.
I like the Briusers like the SOTL and Flag Galleon or the Fast Attack of the Brig of War and the Royal Sloop or prolonged battle with the Frigates

I also have 3 Treasure Galleons I seem to collect and rename

Atlas
Jupiter
Kronos

I hope this wasn't long winded for a newbe
