what are the things that need confirming that they work? i mean the things from build 14 alpha3. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> i'd be glad to tell you or find out if they work. anyone else telling if it works is of course also welcome. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> any problems? post them here!
 
If you visit the Build 14 Alpha page on my site, there is a feature list below the downloads. All things on this list need to be confirmed working seperately. All seperate parts that are confirmed working could then be added into a stable modpack update for Build 13.

proper cabin for ship type in tutorial: works for as far as i know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> i haven't tries all ships with this mod, but the gunboat and all the ships with the same cabin as the lugger VML seem to be working correctly. i'll have to try if it also works when playing stormy start, but the regular process works as it should.

possible bugs (there could be something wrong with thse things as i haven't tries yet, but it might work correctly): ship cabins with one rear cannon.
stormy start with any cabin or a specific cabin type.
those two things need to be confirmed working, the rest works.

randomly generated relations: definatly works. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> use it all the time.

possible bugs: none. pirates are always hostile to everyone.

choose starting town: doesn't work. option isn't there. (but i'm known to miss obvious buttons <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> )
possible bugs: ?

free walk and fast travel on ship: works, but a compatibility problem has appeared which you already know of. no problems with using the back option anymore. problem: ship changes into very small ship when returning to the deck.

multinational pirate hunting quests: i think it works. i'll have to do some more missions to confirm it. when i had to defeat the pirate corvette of falaise de fleur, it had a dutch crew (soldiers) and captain.

realistic ship purchase: works.

realistic health items: works, but surrealistic health items are still very common. not in chests, but they are on corpses. potions don't seem more expensive, but i could be wrong.

lockpick: don't know, as i turned off the option of chests being locked.

directsail: works, but sometimes you don't move at all. this is being worked on. it seems like you can't move when you enter 3D sailing from the world map when at open sea. when starting in 3D sailing mode, and not going to the world map, it works.

buildingset: works for me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

fixed crew and officer pay: don't know, i reset the payment to the stock game version.

officer change role: don't know, not tested.

fixed food and rum: works.

fixed trade missions: everything works. however, a notification of what is the quest cargo should be in the cargo menu, not in the trade menu.

real tavern games: the improved dice game works, but there have been reports of bugs with this.

more options with prisoners: works

all quest things: don't know yet.

improved santo domingo: works, but there is a rather large empty space where the market stalls used to stand.

Oh, yes, I can confirm that Directsail will never work if you enter "open sea with no island" from the world map. And it is impossible to change that, cause that "open sea" is always the same location, no matter where on the worldmap you enter it. Therefore you can't define which islands you would get to if you sail out of it.

So that mix of Directsail and worldmap can't be used. But if you go from the worldmap to an ISLAND location you can continue with Directsail from there.
 
ah, good. i was wondering why it wouldn't work. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> well, guess that's confirmed working then. unless you say that there are some things that still need improving of course.

The option should be in the Choose Character interface below the choose nation part of the interface. By default it says "Tutorial Deck", but you can change that with the arrows left and right of it. Is this option really not there???

There are two things with this mod that need to be confirmed: Can you buy large navy ships if you have a high enough rank and can you buy pirate ships at pirate shipyards if you join the pirates?

Perhaps the potions should be toned down some more then with the realistic health items mod on.

That is intentional. Swindler did that to give Santo Domingo a more different look. The stalls could be re-enabled with a couple of codelines though. However, traders would then also need to be added again.
 
i'm not entirely sure about the realistic ship purchase, but i do know that the rank related thing works. i haven't had a chance to get a letter of marque yet, though. also: i turned it off for now.

about that button: i don't think i ever saw it, but i'll check again. EDIT: yup, it's there. now to see if it works. i'd personally never use it.

bugs with tavern games: the other games caused crashes or freezed, i don't remember for sure. i've avoided them because i hate having to wait five minutes again before i finally loaded a game again.

I know the rank thing works. It has been working for months. The actual new realistic ship purchase mod is the mod that makes it so that the player also required a navy rank or to jojn the pirates for certain ships. I want to know if that works as well.

i think you could find something in the obvious topics. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> like build 13 bugs for instance. you might have to look a few pages back. i think you just missed them. yet again, they night not be there. me and my confuzzelization ya know. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> i'll start some eye-catching topic to find out.
 
I'm still using 13.1....but my mates give me an option of using a shovel and making a building...

I recommend you get Build 13 Update 2: This should make Build 13 work better. Get Build 14 Alpha 3 at your own risk: It does run, but no part of it is guaranteed to work properly. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />
 
will it overwrite all the changes I made in the cannons and ships init and build settings ?
 
i know it changes the buildsettings and the internalsettings back to normal, and that i'm right about that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />
 
It resets all changes, so I recommend you to save your changed files, then use WinMerge to merge the changes you made with the changes made in the update.
 
i recently found a lockpick. i'll see if it works without changing any settings, and if it will break after a while. of course, this is a bit unreliable, but i will be able to find out if the breaking works. i'll see if opening the chests more often works when i start a new game sometime. i have a few friends at school which have build 13 as well, so i'll ask if they can find out.
 
So you actually did find a lockpick? NICE! I personally never mananged to find one so far. The only way I ever managed to get one is to give it to myself through some code.
