Couple of important questions

Torch

Landlubber
1. Can you go out of towns to explore island on land (fight monsters and anumals, find loot, etc.), like you could in Pirates of the Carribean? If so, how?

2. Are there any "on-person" items (except swords, pistols, spyglasses and quest items) that can be found (like in PotC, in caves, houses, etc.) like eg. gems?

3. Why are churches, banks and residences in many towns closed?

4. Does this game have FSAA? I have all options turned on (postprocessing too) and it doesn't look AA'd.

Thanks ahead <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

1. Not yet in the official version. Check out the Supermod, it's got a jungle, though it's still pretty empty.

2. No. At least not yet.

3. I guess they didn't have time to test them properly before release. They're open and functional in the Supermod, though.

4. I would assume it has FSAA, but I haven't tried it out. Someone else should be able to answer.

I have full AA turned on and play'n 1280 x 1024 res. looks great <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

skull, how did you turn AA on? There is no option in settings. I tried with setting it in drivers but doesn't work.

depends if you have an Nvidia card its on the Nvidia control panel.

however, it is recommended you disable post processing if you are to enable FSAA with Nvidia cards. because beleive it or not, but AoP actually uses Shader Models 3.0, specificly HDR.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> MM, yep he's right, using Post Processing screws things up, <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Ok, thanks for your help.

Just one more question...

How exactly do skills of my officers work? Do they addup to my own or is the valid skill level just the one of the person (me or officer) who has higher level in it? If they don't add up, is there any point in leveling skills other than Tactics and maybe Fencing, since I get all others from officers?
And do all abilities of officers work as if I have them and do same abilities stack or not?

Thanks

the officers skills and abilities supplement you.

but they need to be higher, for instance, if you have level 5 in navigation, and your navigator has level 7 in nav, that means he is two skill points above you, so your skill increases +2

Wait, I don't get it...

If I have eg. lvl4 in defence and my officer has lvl9 in defence, which of the two gets applied to my ship? Does it count as lvl4 or lvl9 or total of two, lvl13?
Because if I have officer that has higher skill level than me, that would mean that only his level gets applied and automatically making it that I wasted skill points in that skill, right? :/
