Crashing at Conceicao outskirts.

Everytime I try to go to the Conceicao outskits, the game crashes. My ship is docked at the Conceicao port, and I have no way to get back to it.

I'm using build 11.

I hope I can help. Try pressing the letter <b>T</b> key. That I think resets some things in the game. If that does not do the trick, then try the letter <b>I</b> - it reinitializes things - and I think that should help you.

Best thing is to get Build 11.0 - the most recent build AND the update - it has the most recent bugfixes. You WILL have to start a new game, tho.

Nope, it didn't work.

I did a second check, and apparently i'm using build 11.

Is there some way to change where my ship is at? Or perhaps port my character to a different location? Because, right now, i'm stuck in the jungle with nowhere to go but the smugglers area and the shores.
 
Not without some very difficult editing of a savegame. Do you have a previously saved game you can go back to? Sometimes you just get a corrupted save. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> This game is kinda buggy, if you haven't noticed! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> We tried to make some fixes, but we can only do so much to it...
 
Yeah, I do have a previous save. The problem however, is that I need to go through the conceicao outskirts as part of the main quest.

In fact, that is how I ran into this problem, I was doing the main quest. So, it looks like i'll never be able to complete it.
 
Have you tried going through the Conceicao outskirts with this previous save?
It might be that your newer save has been corrupted and your older save might be OK.

You could also try getting an error log from your newer save by using the PotCModHelper.exe program that is in the TOOLS folder of yout POTC program. This log could help us to resolve the problem.
 
Ever since I installed build 11 it has crashed at the outskirts. I also tried to create an error log, but when it crashed, it acted like nothing happend.
 
Where are you at, Siepher? Is it possible you need localized files for your game (you have a Euro version)? You needed to be sure to check that before you downloaded the Build if you do...

Also, there is an update which you need to get, perhaps if you install that things will work better for you...
 
I don't have a euro version. All I did was download build 11 standard, and when I installed I selected the update and extra textures.
 
Well, hummmm. It's not acting like it should, obviously. And a previous save won't get you back to where it will work?

This game is notoriously buggy - the Build is supposed to help that, but the darned thing is still sensitive and makes corrupted saves sometimes... It's FRUSTRATING that when you get a CTD, that the error log won't log anything.

Sirus is right, try doing it with the PotC ModHelper (in the Tools directory of PotC). Open it up and set it so you will make logs, then open your saved game and play it until it crashes - there should be SOMETHING logged, then...

It'll probably be big, but post it here if you can.
