first of all do you have a program like photoshop?????
editr do you wanna change the shape of the ship??

Changing the shape seems to be pretty complicated. Some people managed it, but most of them are gone now. I recall that the programs Milkshape and AT3D can be used for it. You can also use Maya to make new models and 3D Studio MAX. It is not easy at all though and at the moment, there is no real tutorial.
