CTD when getting on ship sfter the big storm

After the storm off oxbay, I end up on douwesen, kill the pirate guy and takeover his ship. I run to the beach and f3 to get on it and it loads a bit then crashes to windows desktop. known fault? I haven't tried pressing 't' before hand but i will when i get home. Tried loads of saves making no difference.

Is it going to load a `cut-scene` or something?
