I'am new and my english is not so good
but i try it , because in the other forum their are not so many peopel


Ok lets go

In my notice book stand's

i must sail to greenford and danielle to isla muelle
she want to get the artefact and i must get infos about
the aretefact in greenford at the tavern i get these infos

The artefact are in the prison of greedford

than i go to the prison
and talk with the prison guard (at the tabel) he said i must get the document to get the artefact but then i can say i came from the govenyer
but he doesnt gave me the artefact and attackt me

and i died

when i used cheats ^^

and killed him and the others i dont find the artefact

and when i sailed to isla muelle and go into the tavern
and speak about my bussines their came no dialog abaut daniel

?

help i want to finished the quest

I hope I remember this right;

In Greenford prison you talk to the prison guard at the table and get into a fight with him and the other prison guards.

See if you can win the fight without using the "cheat" you mentioned.

At the end of this fight you still will not have the artifact, but when you go back to your ship you will have to fight an English ship in Greenford harbour,(The Greenford fort will be shooting at you too.) and when you defeat this ship you should have the artifact that you are looking for. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Let's see if we can get you past this point, and then if you have further problems we'll see if we can't get you hooked up with Danielle again.

Yes mate do as Sir Christopher says you have to fight the guards at the prison then to fight the english frigate at the port when you board your ship . I think you have to board the frigate to get the artifact ( I did ) . About Aurentis - He is the one you need to read the Incan language - and you will find in in Greenford - however in order to find him you must run an errand for the English governor Silehard - he will ask you to go to Greenford and bring a prisoner back to him. Once there, you will go into the stockade and after you conclude your business, go outside and you will find Clement Aurentis.

when i go to the light house their is a english commander harris
he said aurentis is in the prison and after the dialog
he killed me
their are 3 english soldiers they pulled me into a corner
and attacked me (all 3 soldiers) that is too much for me

and i died allways is their any trick

to killed them ?

During the sword fights are you blocking the enemy attacks?
To block you have to hold down the "Ctrl" key, on your computer and it should keep you from getting hit. If you are fighting two or more guys keep holding down the Ctrl/Block key and then time your strikes in between theirs. If you start losing too much "life" you can drink a health potion while you are hlding down the block key. Be patient during the fight, if you keep blocking their attacks you will eventually wear them down.

After you win this fight, you will encounter the opportunity to get into a big sea fight against the fort. Make sure you have a really good ship, and a good save game before you take this fight on. Good Luck!

If you do a search on the site using the word, "Greenford," you will probably find a lot of postings from people asking or tips on how to deal with the Greenford Fort, because this portion of the main quest seems to be an obstacle for a lot of players. These posts should give you a lot of ideas about what tactics you should use.

You should be able to take the fort with a corvette, but you may want to try to get a Battleship if this is your first attempt. You are playing the unmodded game? Are you playing build 11?

Basic good advice for this is, that I have read,:
1. Use cannonballs on the fort rather than bombs,
2. Have a lot of planks and sails on your ship so you can make repairs during the fight, and have as big a crew as you can get,
3. Be sure you have the "repair" skill before you take on the Greenford Fort. You have an option before you go fight the fort to go and get more experience and a better ship.
4. Fast Reload is very useful.
5. Some people advocate using Culverines over Cannons so you can stay away from the fort's guns and still damage it from a distance, (I've never tried this.)
6. Aim your cannon shots from your deck at the cannon ports at the tops of the fort walls to take out the enemy guns. You will get a message every time you destroy a cannon.
7. I rarely if ever bring other ships with me to attack forts because it has been my experience that they do very little damage and just get sunk.

Part of the fun of this is experimenting to see what works best, be patient, you will win it eventually. Just enjoy the challenge while you are working on finding a solution.

I suggest at least 2 battleships, or, if playing Build 11, a manowar or 2. It almost sank me in my own manowar, thank god for quick repair!
Good luck, it is a tough battle, and the battle after that is tougher yet!
 
How i can capture the fort like a ship ?

i sailed near at the ford but i can not capture it

and when i attacked the fort i can only destroy 4 guns
than i sink

the way the fight works is that you have to damage the fort to the point that you get the message that it is destroyed and you get a symbol of a fort on fire and when you press "enter", you have the option to land troops. What happens then is you are transported into the fort and like a ship battle, you have to swordfight your way thru two or three levels.

Like Capo says, it can be tough doing enough damage to the fort before you can land troops on it, but if you keep using the ship repair feature you will eventually beat the fort. On your ship, press enter and a string of "use" buttons come up, Like; "Sail to" "Ammo", etc., and the last icon is for your special abilities. Scroll onto this icon and press enter and then press on the icon with a hammer and wood. This will repair your ship as long as you have sailcloth and planks. If you don't have this skill then don't go to Greenford, rather go out to sea and get more experience and you can come back to the lighthouse, land the ship, and the option to attack Greenford will come up again. yes i have the skill

but my ship is to small
i only have 400 cannonballs on my ship
and the rest are only planks.

is it better to use the option "sail to "
or sail normal


because i use the "sail to" option
i choose sail to fort of greenford
than i choose "sail to" lighthouse
but only when the fort attacked me
than i come only when the fort reloaed and attacked him


but the bad thing is that i am to slowly and every cannonball hit me

because with the options "sail to "
you are very near at the fort



is this better ?

Sea, try a bigger ship and more cannonballs - and get the biggest guns you can get for your ship. Sail into the harbor and stop your ship as far away from the fort as you can get it but STILL in range of your cannons. This should help. Also having the ability for quick reload is a good thing - that and a full crew compliment will make your reload times faster.

If you have another ship in your fleet you can fill it with men and supplies and make it wait outside the harbor while you sail - not quick sail - to the fort. When you are running low on supplies you can do a `ship-to`-ship transfer for repair supplies and shot - AND MEN...

Lady Catalina has the right of it Sea, better to sail to a good location where you can shoot the fort than using "Sail to". Maybe it's time to trade in the Corvette for a bigger ship so you can store more wood and cannonballs.

Lol sea i have the same problem, but i get along manged to nock out the fort too 52%, then my save filed colapsed........and now its no good, well i guess il start a new file, as for you sea i sugest not going to sail too, know this, sail too almost always ends you up in wrong position, so try avoiding it especaly at fort sieges.
