The only other thought I have is, that sometimes the game needs to be restarted (i.e. New Game) for changes to be 100% effective.
Slog that it is, it may be the answer as i think you have a rogue trigger in there somewhere as your game stands now.

I swear this game is out to seriously annoy me, it almost had me tearing my computer apart!

I am now back to douwsen shore, just after chatting to jones, EVERY friggin time i attempt to board the pearl there is a CTD

Ive already encountered numerous CTDs on my to this point but got round them one way or another (it is an alpha build i suppose), this time i cant!

Is there any chance some of the code editing i did has affected this?

Im sooooo close to see whether that problem had disappeared and now this buggerin CTD is in my way

in order to cope with the huge amount of uni work to do, i have uninstalled PotC, due to being constantly addicted to it

I think il just wait for build 8 alpha to come out and reinstall it, oh, and sorry for the triple post <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

im gonna reinstall my game with build 13 all set up and wait from there for the next release...do i need build 14 alpha 6, and 7 before i install 8?

I don't know yet. It hasn't been made yet. I think it should be an installer that can be readily installed on top of Build 13. It'll be BIG, but easy as well.
