Hello,
I'm sure some of you are wondering how you can teleport to different citys instantly, without sailing there. - There is a way! I found out how in the game earlier.
You need the Debug Mode / Developer mode on for this.
Turning Developer Mode On!
(Make a Backup of any files you edit. - It doesent take long to make backups! and it may save you allot of hassle one day)
To turn it on, Simply edit the _mod_on_off.hfile, Which is located at Age of Pirates/Program. (Open with notepad / Notepad++)
Locate the line:
#define MOD_BETTATESTMODE "Off" // On -DEV version; Test - TST ver; Off - relize
Replaced "Off" with "On"
Save the file.
Well done, Dev mode is now on!
Notes:
- To open the Dev/Debug console in game, Press F11.
- When you turned on your Cheats or whatever, Press the CROSS to exit the console. [ X ]
How to Teleport to Citys!
(Possibly teleport to Caves / Temples and such too?)
You se at the top, Theres a line saying:
LostShipsCity_town, reload, reload1_back
Now, To teleport where you want to go, Edit the FIRST part of the line. (LostShipsCity)
I havent tested all citys, But i have tested Port Royal.
To Teleport to Port Royal type this:
PortRoyal_town, reload, reload1_back
Then press the OK button, and you will be teleported to the Port of Port Royal!
to teleport to other towns type the names at the beggining.
NOTE:
You MUST have reload, reload1_back in the line!
if it's not you get teleported to some random location IN the town you chose, maybe even udnerground so you become stuck.
All citys work from what i've seen.
Test it for yourself, If you do become trapped teleport to a city you know that works.
Such as Port Royal.
- When you teleport to a different Town, your Ships DO come with you, All ships.
Apart from ones which are in Port Control.
This can be an easy way to save your city from being overtaken, or going to bermuda to upgrade your ship without traveling for ages, Or for simply getting to a quest location that takes some time to get to!
Dont use this if you play Honestly and legit.
This is for people who just want to cheat.
Another note: You can go to the Abandoned City, but if you have done the quest already, all thats there is a storm with ships poking out of the water.
Another Note again!: If you havent done the quest, or havent started it. Dont go to the lost ships city, it will screw up the quest line for you in the future.
- Post the names of towns youve worked out, or maybe even names of caves? and temples?
I'm sure all the location names are in a file somewere but i cant find them currently. I'll post them if i do.
