ahoy lads, once again I though Id display my many gaps in computerknowledge... I am completely reinstalling everything... and when I try to run the stock game, it says I have a debugger running... what is a debugger, and where do I turn it off so I can make sure everything is running....?
 
Hmm, I've seen that message a couple of times, when I have been repairing my fiends computer. You haven't got anything loaded into the games memory, like a trainer?
 
nope... its a clean install of the stock game... I even tried rebooting my computer, so I was certain that it wasnt anything that had been lying there from some former program

put it back to "0"
 
i just tried that.. i changed debuginfo = 1 to debuginfo = 0, but still the same result... it wont start the stock game
 
O.K. Silly question, did you just re-load stock game ontop of the modded one?
(i.e. you didn't delete the modded game first)
If so you may have some of the modded files in the directory which won't be compatible with the original game.
 
nope matey, I uninstalled the stock game, then I manually deleted the directory including all files... I tried tossing the mods on top of the original game even though it wouldnt start it... after i installed the mod it could start... so its no longer a problem... though i think I made a mistake somewhere in the installation of the mod... because all the controls are screwed up... so now Ill start all over again <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> sucks but its my own fault

I really dont hope youre as screwed up as me... but hehe... it aint always that bad... luckily I chose to compress the whole pirates game in a .rar file before I installed anything... but DAMN it takes forever to compress that... but it makes recovery quite alot easier
