Summary: Dying on de Tutorial Deck in Oxbay town lands ye in Greenford Tavern

Details: Hawk be startin' him a new game an' took de "long route", playin' dumb an' making Malcolm explain everythang an' lead him by de hand though Oxbay. Once it be coming time tew head fer de Tavern tew recruit some crew, Fred Bob be a noticin' dat it be gittin' on tew nightfall. Inside, de tavernkeeper be a tellin' Hawk tew wait till mornin', so's he be gittin' him a room. Upstairs, Hawk tries openin' de chest an' be blown tew smithereens. However, an angel saves him an' he be wakin' up in... Greenford Tavern! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Comment: Dis might not be a bug from Build 12, but might be from an earlier Build.

Summary: In some cases on de Tutorial Deck, ye kin "attack" Malcolm too soon, ye die, and the game be stuck forcin' ye tew start a new game.

Details: Hawk started hin a new game an' when Malcolm suggested he gittin; his sword an; stuff, Hawk not only collected everything, but befere talkin' tew Malcom agin, he equipped everythang, an' allocated his initail skills. Upon speakin' wid Malcolm, he be offferin' tew teach some sword fightin'. Hawk agrees an' immediately pulls his sword, draws hi pistol, an' shoots Malcolm. Tew Hawks surprise, Malcolm whacks him once an' Hawk crumples up dead on de deck! End o' story as ye kin do nuttin' an' no angel nor death scene appears! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Comment: Normally if'n HAwk follers de normal sequence an' equips only when prompted, Hawk uncontrolably follers Malcolm to de sparrin' spot an' ne'er has no chance tew draw his sword prematurely. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Bug,fresh install POTC an Build 11,99.Did complete tutorial with Malcolm,went to store to talk with Thomasa O'reilly to get cargo mission got a CTD,restarted game from beggining pressed T before talk'n with Thomas an dialog opend for cargo mission but CTD again when I wanted to accept mission
Sailed to Greenford to talk to storekeeper about cargo mission an same thing CTD

Bug After doin Tutorial with Malcom,repaired ship showed 100 but when I sailed outa Redmond,Red bar for hull damage is black,got in a battle with pirates and when their cannons hit my ship the red bar appeard.

The first bug reported by Fred_Bob is not new to this version. I have experienced it in Build 11, I guess no one noticed it tho. Well actually what happened to me is i got killed in a swordfight in oxbay before repairing the ship and before the french tookover and such, but my death caused me to wake up in the Greenford tavern, Oxbay did become take over by the frenchies tho, but on the plus side I got to skip watching the movie (methinks)
 
Aye Angel is a mod added in build 11 so if ye get killed ye don't 'ave tew start a new game <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Aye, that one stems from my survival mod in build 11. It's rather a design problem than a bug <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
Whereever you die... errr, get severely hurt, I mean <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> on the ISLAND Oxbay, your mates will carry you to the Greenford tavern. Reasoning: with Oxbay being under French occupation for some time Greenford is the only safe haven where you can be nursed back to health.

(And it was easier for me to make only one "recovery" point per island <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" /> )
 
No problems so far, other than no skin for the brigantine...is this a mistake or is it still being worked on?

Well, i got all the files on the CVS server 3 days ago, and since there arent any changes since then, i guess i also have build 11.99

Bugs:
- ships_int.c - Schooner2_France - Max Speed 46 knots? Should be 16 knots
- No texture for some of the new ships (tho i did download the .tx files) - Brigantine, Shnyava, some others...
- Also, bars for crew/hull dont show when they`re at 100%
- Prisoners - They sometimes change. IE, after i load a game (dunno if i exit and then start the game again), the captured enemy captain is not the same (tho he`s still there) as before

Suggestions:
- Buildsettings.h - Too much money from capturing ships. On every occasion when i captured a ship (even a Lugger or Sloop), i got 200.000+ gold, when i had 50.000 of my own. Ship money multiplier should be closer to 0.010 than 0.25
- AIBordage.c - Make the boarding enemy HP slightly less dependent on morale. Suggest to redo calc of enemy HP so it roughly is:

On Apprentice difficulty - approx 90 % - 110 % of player max HP
On Journeyman difficulty - approx 140 % - 150 % of player max HP
On Adventurer difficulty - approx 200 % of player max HP
On Journeyman difficulty - approx 250 % of player max HP

Of course, add level difference between you and enemy captain (but no more than, say 20% difference), crew number (20%), morale (10%).

suggest using:

instead of:
<b>nRank = makeint((pRank/2.0 + Rand(pRank) + (pLead / 3.0) + (pLuck / 3.0)) * (2.0/3.0 + (4.`0-makefloat`(GetDifficulty()))/5.0) + 0.5);</b>

This way, on Adventurer level, you get officers approx from `2-3` levels below to `2-3` levels above yours (the latter, ofcourse, happens less often).

- Suggest setting cannon smoke life to 1/2 of what it currently is. (I think twice longer than build 11 would be ok, the setting in build 11.99 is overkill.

- Inlcude CCC`s Boarding mod in the release (Granted, it`s easily customized, but i think the mod deserves to be included as the default.)

- Lower the amount the morale changes during sea battles (being shot at, being hit, etc.). I think 1/2 would be fine

Arrr! Fred Bob forgot tew mention 'cause it ne'er crossed his mind! Dis build be dependin' upon ye havin' de U.S. released version, matey! Two things: There is nothing behind the About build 12 button on the F1 screen and there was no animation on leaving Oxbay.

A third thing, the sailto button is not working, "enemy ship is to fast" is that something that is toggled on or off or changeable in build settings?

This is going to be great.
 
Nuth'n been written yet so de About build 12 button don't werk. Ok, there is still 2 day passing fast even if I just visit the shipyard.

Is the flashing red face icon should be quiet in the 11.99 or it is normal that it still flash when someone in twon want our life?

- Yup, IIRC someone has toi get around to writing something for the Build 12.

- Video: Videos are disabled by default in Build 12 in BuildSettings.h. Find the following line:
#define ENABLE_VIDEOS 0
And change it to 1, obviously <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

- Sail to: You cannot use it unless your ship is at least 1.25 times faster than the other ship. Tweakable:
#define SAILTO_MIN_SPEEDRATIO 0.25

- Also suggest changing:
#define SHIPMONEY_MULT 0.25
to
#define SHIPMONEY_MULT 0.010
