Dialogs!!!

Long John Silver

Freebooter
Ok , gang....I have search most of today for this, and the best I can come up with is the conversion of languages from Russian to English...so if this has been addressed already my appologies to you all.

After playing for a day now with the new game, I share your pain! But like everything else try to look for that silver lining in every cloud. (still looking today as well....hehehe) But the one thing that stands out to me is the Glaring attempts at making sence of the dialogs, to anyone except those who are

A) Visually Impared...(as in legally Blind) or

B) those whose fluent languages includes "pig latin and/or Sand Peoplish" ( yes it is a word....I just added it to Wikipedia......so there <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" /> or

C) those select few friends, neighbours, and/or people that we know, who agree to knowing everything because it is safer that way!!

Unfortunatly I do not blend in very well with any of the above....so I have really struggled to make sence of the dialogs, supposedly in this NEW ENGLISH version of AOP. Maybe talking to that Drunk too long in the Tavern in Bridgetown didnt help much, but what I came away with to be "safe"...was never to talk to people in this game again.........ever!! <b>If there are any redone files</b>......anything at all that I missed, didnt get the first time, or <b>help/advice</b>/free pistol with One Bullet.......anything....please respond in kind words to this plea for help!!

L.J.S.

P.S. Is there any attempts to creating English Dialogs????????? I dont mean the average Joe in the street.....<b>BUT</b> for those long stories that dont quite make sence???

I think someone is working on changing the dialogs from the Czar's english to the King's english. The translations from Russian are just plain bad, and is one of the beefs I've always had with Akella's games. Why in God's name can they not just hire native speakers to do the voices and dialog for the english versions of their games?
Hell, if they would just post an ad at Pirates Ahoy, we would do it for free! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/glare.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />

Aye....be agreein with ye thar Capn_Tucker.

By the way Thanks fer the post....was beginnin tew be thinkin I be the only one that had problems makin out what I was bein told!! Some conversation with a drunk at the Bridgetown Tavern probably told me something Important about Slaves and Demonic things or terrible Happenings....but I could not make out head or tails of it ceptin some Slave went overboad......I THINK!!!!
