Hey gents, remember >><a href="http://gr.bolt.com/games/pc/action/diebythesword.htm" target="_blank">Die by the Sword</a><< ?
It was a fantasy genre game where it was possible to steer your virtual sword arm freely around with your mouse - in a way it was like real fencing. Mouse buttons switched the weapon into block mode although it was hard to block any attacks. Generally it was safer to stay out of range if possible.
Keys were controlling your body and your shield. Took me 3 days to get the moves right.
Also, they had real physics implemented for the fighters and weapons. The weight and speed of any weapon was realistic and sent your enemies flying against the walls when you hit them the right way. Body parts could be chopped off if hit with the proper damage. Lotsa fun, i tell ya !
Still have it btw, to quickly satisfy my lust for hack'n slash every once in a while. (PotC isn't bad either of course)
