Do officers leave me...

...if their loyalty gets too low?
My reputation is... well, let's just say I am not the nicest person in the Caribbean Sea but I have two very good officers that have a pretty high reputation and very low loyalty.
Can I raise their loyalty somehow?
Without giving up my evil life and reputation that is... not really looking to start rescuing lost cats from trees and stuff <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

As far as I know, quest officers like Jeremy Pitt and Ned Ogle won't leave you, but tavern-generated will.
Hire new officers in the pirate's settlements, because they will most likely have a bad reputation (swindler etc.) so plundering, killing etc. won't decrease their loyalty.
That's my theory.

...and what to do to raise the loyalty of the well-renowned officers?
I´m a trusted sailor (not a very evil character, but my main funds come from boarding bountyhunters from Spain and other Pirates) and that seems that is nothing to do with the loyalty of the "legal" officers...
