Dutchman

Do you have Photoshop CS2? That's what I used to copy the alpha map from the Black Pearl sails to Thomas the Terror's Flying Dutchman sails. You can do it by using the Alpha Channel option. It's basically a black and white picture: All that is black will end up transparent, white is solid and gray is half-transparent. Note that you will need to also select the alpha channel in the convert options in the TX Converter program.

k btw take a look <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXiG1TtRxv8" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXiG1TtRxv8</a>

the dutchman's sails are not nearly as torn as those in-game at the moment though. they have some holes, but that's it.

Naturall the torn-ness isn't really appropriate, but I think at least it looks better than having whole sails. Now having properly torn sails would, of course, be better still. So the best of luck with that, Razor! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

yes, torn sails are definatly better than whole sails. but the corredt ones would indeed be the best.

DONE!!! wanna see the sails here

I think this flying dutchman is the best

<a href="http://www.s31clan.com/pietersmods/potc_downloads/FlyingDutchman.zip" target="_blank">http://www.s31clan.com/pietersmods/potc_do...ingDutchman.zip</a>

why hasn't anyone modified this version and put a new seaweedy hull texture on it ?

by the way them sails are awesome , where can i download them

These torn sails look really good. I like that you managed to make the seaweedy edges at the bottom of the sails just like in the movie. Really good. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Looks nice and Dutchman-like. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

could someone plz improve this flying dutchman

<a href="http://www.s31clan.com/pietersmods/potc_downloads/FlyingDutchman.zip" target="_blank">http://www.s31clan.com/pietersmods/potc_do...ingDutchman.zip</a>

all it really needs is a new hull texture and some small alterations at the back

i think the back end is slightly too wide, if someone could change that and make it slightly taller at the back by stretching it slightly or something like that , then that will be the perfect model

the parts that bludge out the sides at the back need taking in abit, thats what i meant

maybe if its just made taller it would sort it out, it would make it look not as wide

yes, those sails are perfect! i trust you are going to make a bit more green ones for the cursed version?

<a href="http://www.s31clan.com/pietersmods/potc_downloads/FlyingDutchman.zip" target="_blank">http://www.s31clan.com/pietersmods/potc_do...ingDutchman.zip</a>

the back just needs to be taller, needs new seaweedy hull texture, and sail placement needs work e.g. more like razors sail placement

razor's sailplan isn't perfect either, and i told what might need changing earlier, but it is indeed the closest to the actual dutchman.
