It seems that there is no new news about this promising game since September 2006 ( official site )

Yeah I sent an email to kim last week or so, and he told me they are in talks with a publisher so thats why they have not released anything..

don't think so, we just heard about it early, I think after the announcement there might have been a couple of publishers interested.

Anyone heard anything about this game recently? Some sites are still saying TBA as a release date with a tentative date of 2008 in Europe.

Good news! It looks like naval games are coming to the fore with EIC and the elusive Pirate Simulator. Can't wait to get my hands wet with both of them.
Do you have an offical forum by the way?

and don't forget empire: total war. it's got a great deal of extremely realistic sea battles. i think trafalgar might be included as well.

Granted, Empire: TW is also coming out. I've enjoyed Rome: TW somewhat but if Empire: TW is anything like it I'm going to withold judgement untill I see how the sea battles are implemented. The thing I enjoyed with PoTC with Buildmod 13 was the possibility to engage in "realistic" (in a, very, broad sense of the term) naval battles. To be able to steer your 32 cannon frigate in for the final kill is awesome. If I'm able to do the same in Empire: TW I'll probably love it - if not it will still be a good game, but not as good as EIC and Pirate Simulator. All speculation of course, since none of the games are available.
