The game world spans from London to Aceh. Player can decide which role to take, be it trader, pirate or soldier. More than 100 missions provide challenges for all roles. The game focuses strongly on player ship and naval battles. There are 10 different ship types to choose from, from small and agile sloops to lumbering merchantmen and to ships-of-the-line that bristle whit powerful cannons.

Special characters are hired and used to boost the abilities of the ship and her crew. Special characters include such persons as marine snipers, surgeon, cannon officer and navigator. Different weather modes make naval battles challenging but fun and visually stunning. Bloody boarding actions are included as means to take over enemy ships and steal their cargo.

Trading and exploring exotic locations are also a big part of the gaming experience. There are more than 40 cities, towns and villages to visit and do trading in. Beyond wealth, there is also military and political power to be acquired. And no, there is no dancing.

Question #2 - Why be they waiting for 2008 till release? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diomed.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dio" border="0" alt="diomed.gif" />

Question #3 - Any kind of Multiplayer (coop?)

Great to be back again, quite some time since I sat my foot here! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

Will it be using DX10 technology ?(becouse those screens rather look DX9 to me...)

Question #5 - Ain't dat de Cara'bean? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Not exactly.

The Caribbean is known as the West Indies.

West India would be that part of India which is close to Pakistan, and below it.

Just thought of 2 questions:

#6 - Will there be fighters with special abilities? The Chinese are famous for their kung fu, and the Indians had their kalaripayit - can we hire these as the game progresses?

#7 - What will be the status of opium in the game? Will it be a normal commodity, or contraband?

#8. What degree of political wrangling with the Moghul Empire will be involved? The East India Companies of the English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Dutch all experienced trade interruptions after angering the Grand Moghul.

#9. Will there be a system of bribery or payment of tribute in use when moving contraband or expanding the company's sphere of influence?

#10. Will slavery be addressed? I realize that it's a politically incorrect topic these days, but it was a reality of the time and an important economic factor for a number of countries.

11) During a ship battle, will the player see the NPC's shooting/yelling at the enemy and board in real time so to speak, or will the game load and render a deck?
