Ok i have started on the Endeavour

now its look like this:

Personally, I'd rather use high-detail <i>Victory</i> from VCO, not the low-detail one <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Feel free to convert this model as <i>Victory</i> herself - she has many fans around here <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

the high-detail dint work to moddify so I used the low

<i><u><b>WOW!</i></u></b> Now this is something I've been dreaming of seeing since I started playing this! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

What else are you going to do to her Razor? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> She's amazing enough already... but why not embellish it?
Ensign on the gaffboom and single pennant on the main.
Staysails between the masts.
Longer bowsprit and jibs.
More rigging.

You don't have to, but it would really put the cherry on top of this!

Does she have a 1st person view, or is this something that's needed with the ship comming from a different game?

I had a look at your download site and saw the Endeavour v1.0 available for download. I downloaded the file and had a look at her. I'd like to try her out ingame, but I need a proper ships_init.c entry for that. Could you please give me the ships_init.c entry? Also I saw there are two hulls being used. Could you possibly tell me why that is?

I also saw a GalleonC3 file on there. I had a look at the files in the GM Viewer, but it seems to me that the hull texture is pretty vague up close. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Here is some new shots <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I know it sounds a bit picky, but the ensign... it would be run up all the way to the gaffboom, not centered. Perhaps it could be slightly larger too?

This model = <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_praise.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="icon_praise.gif" />

Do you have that ships_init.c entry available anywhere? Is it in the ZIP?

Oh, cool, you've managed to get hi-poly version working. Good work <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Now, how big it is compared to other ship? I suspect it might be oversized - at least she looked that way when I was walking on her deck.

im not sure bout refShip.Walk havnt make a walkfile to the crew on deck

Thanks Razor. I'm going to check her out. If I am correct, this model is the Victory from Voyage Century Online, so would there be any chance of you doing a Victory version as well?

I tried her ingame now. The model looks really quite nice and doesn't crash the game, even in 1st person mode. However, there are a few issues that would be nice to have fixed:
1) The 1st person walk file is wrong and you can't walk on the deck properly. This is not really something you can do anything about. Not without a proper 3D modeling program and possibly not even WITH a proper 3D modeling program.
2) No crew walks on the deck. It is possible to make custom walk files and this is a lot of work, so don't bother with this if you don't want to.
3) Most importantly: the cannons. The ship has no bow and stern chasers at all, unlike all other ships in the game. Also: When firing the starboard and port batteries, it is apparent that the gunfire does not come from the guns on the model. Probably the number of guns is also wrong. This is most likely caused because the ship uses the gun locators of the hull of another ship that you put within the Endeavour ship model. It would be really quite nice to have this fixed.

Most appreciated. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

Than you very very very very very very very very very much... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" /> . i can make only a few comments on how to improve the ship. i haven't tried her, but a good thing to add to Pieter's list:

1: a more clear and interesting skin. [im sure that sometime soon perhaps some of the fantastic skinners on this site could probably do something to make this ship stand out]
2: cannons that point out more [so that it looks like a floating porcupine <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />
3: if possible, the 42 pounder chase guns on the bow would be nice to have. angled out to have a wider firing arc.
4: as mentioned above: MORE RIGGING! MORE STRINGS! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />

Aye, the ship looks fantastic! Only problem is, the masts and rigging don't look like they fit...I've always particularly hated the stock PotC Man of War's masts and rigging. Fix that, and I think we'll have a near-perfect version of the Victory! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
