english fleet bug

mooo

Landlubber
ever since i installed it, i get this error:

Runtime Error!

Program:...sBethesda SoftworksPirates of the CaribbeanENGINE.exe

abnormal program termination

any know what i can do?

That is very sad. It works fine for me. You need to copy the files to their right spots. Just because you unzip in the correct folder, doesnt mean that it worked. Check to see if it created a folder within a folder, if there is not supposed to be one, thats a problem. HTHS!

no, when i unzipped, it was in folder english fleet. i removed em from that folder and put them in write spot, so that all other files were overwrited by english fleet files (that's what the readme says should happen....thanks for responding <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p:" border="0" alt="pirate2.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />: <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Thats odd then, if you are getting an error message. I will look into it, as will JSJ I am sure. We will try to help ya out mate.

the engine error i cant understand
theres no changes in that ......

if u have a CTD when starting up the pots ....
it could be that the Build settings.h got corrupted instead...
try check it out .... or just send me that file

When I would fool with making mods a few months back, whenever I would make some large error (like deleting a file, or removing some central line of code) I would get that error. I would recommend uninstalling the mod for now, and taking PotC back to its last functional point.

From there you will be at a better state to fix things. That's what I had to do in the past anyway. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Hi,

I had the same bug when i installed the english fleet pack.
I have made a backup of my files before the install. I only restored the buildsettings.h in the program folder and the BattleInterface.c in the BATTLE_INTERFACE folder and the game don't crash anymore and seems to work with the pack.

May be you can try to do that and perhaps that will work for you too. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":|" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" />
