Hello! I played POTC some years ago and recently I managed to get a copy again but it's in Spanish. Can someone of you provide me with the English text files? I saw there are Russian text files but I can't activate them. I edited the configuration text file but in-game the main menu is blank. Would a mod solve this problem too? Thanks in advance!

That must be the first time anyone is actually HAPPY about the mod translating the game.
By necessity that is what it does, because nobody has the chance to actually keep all other language versions up-to-date and compatible.
But usually people want it in their native language and that just isn't happening.... :wp

Personally I find it odd to have a game in any language other than English and I am not even a native English speaker. After all, many languages use foreign words for historical, military and naval terms. I am glad there are still mods for this game, no matter how old it is. Mods keep games like that still alive!

    :ahoy all,

this is an old, "solved thread" but the only one I found to my question, and for me it's not solved!

I have a German version of PotC, although im happy about the New Horizon translation, I have a slowly getting annoying issue depending on that vanilla game files.

The idle talk, in tavern's or elsewhere, are (really) stupid German jokes in a broken accent that supposed to imitate Dutch. I am half German and live here, that’s why this is so ridicules that I cant hear that much longer, I may delete them, just to have my peace!;)(not serious)

So the First post from @The_Hussar has not yet lead to a "English Basic Sound file Collection".

Anyone willing to copy and upload here or somehow?

    Thanks in befor.
