Err Help

Howdy Pirate Fans

A long time ago I bought PotC, I was very dissapointed but then build 12 came along and fixed all that.. heres my Dilemer..
I had 2 files on My Pc a while ago to fix PotC.
One of them Was Build 12, and there was another one.. I cant remember for the life of me which file that was.
I burnt both to a dvd ( which wouldnt read on my computer since bloody dvds never last more than a week )
I just installed Build 12 but my game is not modded, I go to play it and it plays like the classic crappy Version, when I used to play the first thing that used to happen was I'd get box saying ' Aye Captin what kind of outfit do you want to wear '
Is that build 12? or Something else?

In build 12 the boatswain wakes you up and you look like a monk. He tells you about this storm and you tell him he is supertitious. Then the first choice he says lets get you out of those robes then if you say the usual you turn back into the pirate guy they game standard is.
