The whole findnewloadforcannons stuff should switch to using the info Mehrunes found anyway, so we only check for a new load directly after firing and _stop_ checking once loading gets beyond 10s or so.
 
Interesting. I'll have to look into it more. If you say its there, then I'm sure its working, only that I'm not noticing it. When I get enough free time I'll play the game again and check for certain.
 
Interesting. Like jmv575 I`ve also extended the reload times to range from `60-90` seconds. It makes for longer, more interesting battles and adds an element of tension while waiting for your crews to ready the next broadside. I noticed a lack of aggression from my opponents though.

I`ve never heard other ships call out their reload, but having just acquired the Masterworks spyglass I`m seeing that many ships are not firing as they`ve loaded with Grape and the target has moved out of range by the time the guns are ready. They`ll sit there just out of range and unable to fire instead of switching over to Ball or whatever. It seems to me they`re stubbornly determined to fire off the current load before changing ammo, rather than changing their minds every few seconds. But this leads them to get `stuck` with the wrong load for the range.

One thing that might have affected what I`m seeing is that I also reduced the range of Bombs to be the same as Grape. This was an attempt to simulate the point blank Double shot & Grape favoured by Nelson`s gunners (and because I just don`t like Bombs) It seems the Fort guns only want to use Bombs though, as they`re not shooting much now...
 
Well, the way it's coded now is a kinda kludge, so I'm not all that surprised if it's not working.
And IIRC CouchCaptain Charles had the same problem with `change-ammo`-`too-much`.
