Is there an island among the 20 in CoAS that looks a little in shape like this island? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

EDIT: I just realized, that Quabradas Costillas and Aruba are identical, only with different textures. And Aruba had the small cliffs in front of the harbour cut away.

I am at work again, so I dont have my RESOURCES folder with me. But I think Island names are in ..\RESOURCES\TEXTS\nations\.. .
Only CCC did this before, I think?
 
Thanks, I found the problem: in Worldmap files island and town have the same name. Just renamed town and now I can aboard it. But in worldmap I can't see this new island, just the name, and there's no "collision" with the ship. I also have to move it because I took Khael Roa's coordonates from original game and the two islands are too close. So the problems are: how to do goods coordonates, and see island? HELP!!!

So you're importing location models from AOP/COAS? Great! So does this mean less near identical towns?

If you add 100% new islands, they also need to be added to the islands.gm file used on the worldmap.
However, I don't know how that should be done. It's possible somehow though.

In order to get island image on map and proper collision data a RESOURCE\MODELS\WorldMap\islands.gm file must be correctly edited. That's quite tricky because it means using Maya + Akella plugin which noone from us doesn't know how to use, as I'm aware...

yes, the two towns I imported are différents, but I was surprised by another town from CoaS witch is also Nevis from AoP, just a little retextured. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Now I've to find the way to resolve problems with "new" islands.Can't be seen in worldmad, but only when you sail "by sea"!

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" /> I think I found the solution: I import worldmap from CoaS ( *.gm are separated), some islands to do the count, rename as better as possible because quests an "sail on sea", and take care of what I do otherwise I make a Coas Build 14 Alpha8 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> Seriousely, why not?
 
You would also need to import some textures.

I'm not sure about some issues of copyright nature in case of such solution. Besides, just after relase of AoP it turned out that importing of worldmap is quite impossible because whole system was changed in engine. In PotC whole worldmap was a single gm file, but in AoP islands are separate gm files put with use of locators. AoP solution is completely incompatible and I'm affraid that CoAS uses AoP mathod rather than PotC in this matter.

Yesterday I was wrong: there's a islands.gm in CoaS, but it's too much work for just add a couple of islands. For now these I add can't be seen on map, but you see the name, and the icon when you can aboard. Hello! I post here a new question: could anybody tell me how to add characters in the second town of the same island? I looked for the answer in differents files but didn't found yet. I only get usurer and store keeper, cause they're in an other file. I don't understand why it doesn't work...surely "something" is missing, but what? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
