Fastest Ship there is??

Iggly

Master Mariner
Ahoy there captains! Iv just bouth a "Xebec BR" and il tell ya its the best buy iv ever done!

She has 19,5 in speed 20 cannons 1400 cargo hold and 60 i think in turning,

I went for a little try whit her, aculy it was a big try i was just out in the ocean in realistic mode for over one and a half hours just watching her glide!

i managed to get her to 12,5!

Does anybody know a faster ship then this?

the corvette <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" />

Me custom "Mefisto" <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

corvete is bot the fastest,
only has 14,5 in build 11, no more!

Xebec Br has 19,5

i got her to 26 knots now! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" />

kicking slow ships as, CHEERS TO THAT MATES <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

How about the schooner <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" />

Sloop can break the 30's barrier, and I can easily drop most Class 3's and below without suffering damage. Just gotta watch them Class 1's, they tend to make short work o' me. The class 2 is easily dispatched by boarding it. The class 1 can be a pain and I reccomend Master of Boarding before trying to take her on.

The pirate ships that we buy from the pirate hideout island is usually faster than it similler ship availble in the nations shipyard . As I remember the fastest are the pirates xebecbr , sloop and the vette but any class 1 ship can easlly take down those ships even they are much faster , with the ( sail to ) option the class 1 ship can easlly get her work done in no time at all <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> .

That's exactly how I deal with Class 1's, I sit in the cannon blind spot and then run right up and board thanks to Master of Boarding.

A little note here. I highly recommend turning on realistic sailing, as you're not getting the full advantage out of the `non-square`-riggers if the `square-riggers` can sail as close to the wind as you can.

Nothing beats clawing upwind of an ungainly galleon in a sprightly sloop and saying "`neener-neener`" going damn near into the eye of the wind. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Hey i was wondering, did you joind in 1970?

Iv seen many more that did this, did this forum exist back then?

well capt Cookie, even if there is a good captain .... in the sloop or the xebec probably you will run out of amunation before you can sink them <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> in the mean time the captain of the other ship will not stand there watching , I think a single boardside of his ship will finish the battle . <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />:

I don't mean to be critical, Nathan, old man, but I think I speak for the Brotherhood of the Coast when I say that, however sprightly the sloop, or lugubrious the galleon, it is most comme il faux pas for a pirate to say `neener-neener`!

On the other hand, your point about realistic sailing is very well taken.

One more thing, I must toast you especially for all the advice you have been giving lately in the modding forum. I don't mean to leave out the other moderators and tavern keepers, by any means, but it seems that every time I check into that tavern of late, I see your encouragment and direction for the various mods that people are working on.

You mentioned in another thread that you are not especially adept at playing POTC, and this reminds me of an old joke about two brothers who had a sled. When the older brother got into trouble for not sharing the sled with his younger brother, he explained that his brother would get the sled for the same amount of time that he did, roughly half the time, but he failed to explain how he would have the sled going downhill and the younger brother got to use the sled going uphill.
I hope that you and the other modding enthusiasts are enjoying the downhill as much as the people you have provided it for, like me, with all the uphill effort you've all put into it.

Here's rum to all of you! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

neener - neener <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> couldn't resist,It be a great life if ye don't weaken,Har! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I'd have been truly disapointed if you hadn't done that, Skull. Here's rum to you especially.
