few questions about gameplay

Hi there,

1. I am having troube finding how to reload my pistol under the "hardcore" option (where basically the pistol doesn't reload automatically). Is there a way to reload manually ?

2. In 1st person fighting mode, I can strike fast, medium and slow swings. But in the manual they that you can make "fake" attacks, and that there are variants to the fast and medium swing. I have no idea how to do that.

3. Am I supposed to visit the shipyard to upgrade my ship ? I cant find any shipyard giving this option...

Any help would be appreciated. Many thx

1. I don't think you can reload on hardcore.
2. Shift+click. Or something. It's in the option screen.
3. The only shipyard that can upgrade ships is in Bermuda.

by the way, I boarded and captured galleon (and destroyed the single ship escorting him). At port I went selling its cargo and at my suprise I discovered that it had about 1150 gold ingot! wort about 800'000.

Can I be considered as rich now ?

You definitely have enough money to do some goofing around and taking your time exploring the world without having to worry about going broke from paying your crew, but I wouldn't say you're rich. Comfortable would be a good word.

Last night when I was playing, I was sitting around 10 million gold, with a fleet consisting of a Manowar, Ship of the Line, Frigate, and a Corvette. I'd consider that to be more on the rich end.

Although having that much firepower in a fleet can make it exceedingly hard to just simply disable/board enemy ships, as they're all in KILL KILL KILL mode.
