another thing i encountered is, that i am destroying ships for the governor of Curacao and i just made 1st Lt.(BTW, in light of my promotion to 1st Lt, i threw a party at the local moose lodge and the people who showed up wondered what the heck was going on and why was i dressed up in a dutch 1st Lt uniform, but when they saw the kegs of free beer, they seemed that they didn't really care and the ladies, that's another story. I think they were not laughing at my jokes as much as they were laughing at me, oh well. But, when i returned the last time to speak with the governor, a lady appeared and a captain. The lady i guess has something to do with marriage, but i was given a escort ship and was wondering if that was an quest or my reward. Second, why does my other ship attack me? It happens when we are during battle and i take some goods from its hull or when i board a ship and after victory i return to the sea i find my other ship attacking me. Any ideas? thanks [IFY just messing around about the moose lodge party]
 
That escort ship and officer are a reward for accomplishing so much for the Dutch. Every nation will give you a reward ship at a certain point. Look at "relations" to see where you stand with all nations. This is still a little buggy, so it is a good idea to save immediately and then go to the shipyard and arrange your ships and officers. Sometimes a ship will just disappear. Poof gone.

I'm not sure why your other ship is firing at you. Possibly it has to do with some trickery you have done in the past with flags. Try changing officers, changing flags, or sailing to another island.
 
good to know. hey i forgot to ask. That girl in the governors is she ever accepting of your proposal to marry? What is that all about? Does that mean you drag a wife with you all over the islands?
 
The Governors daughter? Is she pretty? No one ever built a storyline continuing the possibilities here.
 
you only can "marry" but she always stay on land, mostly you own her after a small duel against an officer

thats far to be the most interessant but still funny :)
