fort capturing

Hi <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I have to take over fort Belize. I went there, ruined the fot cannons, killed all the fort's crew and now don't know what to do.... No icon shows, can't exit to jungle and my crew dissapeared....

I have yet to get that far but (and this is only a guess) you own that fort now.

If you can't go to the next location is probably defenders of the fort.

you need to run beside the cannons there wil soldiers show op standing next to a cannon

Hi,

I have trouble capturing Fort Belize. I destroyed 39 from the 80 cannons of the fort, when the icon appeard that I can capture it and the fort stopped the shooting. I destroyed one more cannon, but I could not bring it below 40.
The manual says that you can decrease the number of soldiers in the garrison if you continue destroying cannons, is that true? I tried with different ammo, but no effect.
The problem is that the Spaniards are almost twice in number and I cannot capture it. I even pumped up the moral and equiped my fighters with potions. Also the number of weapons in the ships of the pirate companions are low and I cannot trade with them.

Any help? Thanks.

Use the shot to kill the enemy troops.

When destroy 30-33 or 35 fort guns, start firing shot (buckshot). When an icon of "storming", any firing useless. In excellent spyglass you can see how many soldiers fort.

I'm trying to see if i can take a port now, i haven't done any quests as of yet. I have entered the money cheat and borrowd a few ships, 2 MOW's 1 Corvette and 1 Ship Of The Line, i lost the Corvette a few minutes ago, so far we have taken 7 guns out and when the wind changes direction i will go around to the other side and start taking those guns out while my fellow captains focus on the current side. If all goes well we should see the option to take the city if not then the test hasn't been for nothing. I'm just was to see if its possible to take a city without it been part of a quest or opened after the completion of a quest.

Update:
Simple answer, no you can't take a town over without first unlocking that ability in the quest. I was only given the option to loot it (which i did) the MOW was so heavy coming back lukcily i could relax because it wasn't too far to a friendly post, where i was greeted by 3 guy's from Spain saying there was a bounty on my head, I told them they have the wrong guy and they walked off, next time it won't be so easy but not to worry if i get my way there's a new MOW for me to claim off of them, it will cost Spain much more than it will cost me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Note to myself, stock up on bopth chain and grape shots before setting sail.
