Game Bug Prevents Story Progress

I've just completed the siege of Greenford and defended it from the English attack. When I go to the port, Daniell congratulates me, and we're automatically transported to the lighthouse to pick up Clement. The problem is that my ship is, of course, still in Greenford port, and the path into Oxbay Canyon is locked. There's now no way to get back to the ship. Any ideas?

Just Build 12. Is there any way for me to manually release the lock on Oxbay Canyon? I tried a fast travel to the port (so Danielle would have to run from the door at the front of the port to talk to me), hopping on the boat, sailing to the lighthouse to moor the ship there. Then, when I tried to go back to town, I found the path to Oxby was still locked. Argh!

It is right there at the Lighthouse...Not in Greenford!!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

No, the ship is not there- there's not too many places at the lightouse a man o' war can hide. The unlocked padlock icon appears as I wade into the water where the rowboat would be (were the ship there), but trying to board the invisible vessel just plays the knocking door sound.

I'm updating now; I take it that since no one else seems to have had this problem, it will probably disappear with the update. If not, I'll post again.

I updated to the latest version, and can get to the new game screen. Hitting new game after selecting my character and ship now causes a CTD. Can I go back to the way it was without deleting and reinstalling the game?

No you can't. However, I'd much rather help you fix that crash so you can use the Pre Build 13 Beta version. Are you sure you installed everything correctly in the right order?

The right order is:
1) Unmodded PotC
2) Build 12.1
3) Pre Build 13 Base Version (296 MB)
4) Build 13 Beta Full Version (22,1 MB)

You can step all steps you have already taken. So you need to start from step 3, because you already had Build 12.1 installed.

If you still have trouble, post here and we'll try to help. We'll figure out why it's not working. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
