Governor's Daughter

I was thinking about this the other day, did anyone ever marry one of the "least attractive" governor's daughters? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I may have to go and play again, and do this just to see the movie with the marriage ceremony. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

I'm reminded of the advice of Lou Costello on this subject:

Thought that this game was simply overdue for the Bargin-Bin of history.

Yes you can marry one of the lesser attractive daughters.
It simply lowers your max possible score.
Because romance would then top off at 8 or 9 (depending upon the {lack of} beauty of the daughter) instead of 10.

The way I saw this, with so many "outs" available, no one would ever actually wind up married to the daughters with "nice personalities" but lacking in other developments. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

You start out dancing, ok, I like dancing with all the girls! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> Besides the ill favored daughters strike me as being a bit more generous with the freebies. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

For thngs to go further you have to give the girl either an expensive diamond necklace or a ruby ring; "<b>Homie don't play that!</b>" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

If you do wind up giving her a ring you have to fight her boyfriend; I do like that part! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

Then you have to dance wih her <u>again</u>! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> (No real harm in that...)

Then she gets kidnapped and you got's to sail all over the place with a mutinous crew, to find that guy who isn't Baron Raymondo. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diomed.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dio" border="0" alt="diomed.gif" /> Kick his butt and sail all the way back to her daddy's mansion before your crew takes a powder on you. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

Once you're there you have to go back again before you can run away and not marry her. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" />
