Gunpowder Storage

I found a "Gunpowder Storage" on deck in your ship. If you try to open that "door" there´s an box interface. In the box now is gunpowder (item) to an amount equal that of your gunpowder (cargo). You can pick up gunpowder for your pistol yes.

Is this meant only to be an "illustration" or is there any other purpose? Anyone knows more about this?

There is a purpose, yes. You can buy gunpowder (goods) from a merchant, then take it out of your gunpowder storage as items. That way, you can buy gunpowder in large quantities. Maximus coded that in; I think it's a pretty good idea. Though several gunpowder/shot-related things migth be improved some more. But those improvements will have to wait for the Post Build 13 mods.

Ok so it´s El Rapidos storage on board. I have just started looking at this after listening to many ideas. Trying to simplify the ammo thing all over: restock, items, OFFICERS. We´ll see if there is anything of worth left then... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I think it can all be streamlined a bit still. Preferrably using a weapon's officer that needs to be hired before he simplifies matters. I really like that idea. Warning: I'll keep mentioning it until I or somebody else codes it in or somebody can explain why it's a bad idea or if somebody comes up with something better. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

The gunpowder storage was Maximus' work, not El Rapido's. Still, they serve the same basic purpose.

Hmmm... hadn't even noticed this feature before.
