I'm an old POTC player, and just saw that there is this newer version on Steam and decided to try it out. But I'm not able to start the game. It hangs in the starting screen after the intro video (with the turning watch) and I have to close it again by force.
I have tried different compatibility modes and no luck. Any hints on what might be wrong? I have searched around but couldn't find any solution.
My PC specs:
Ryzen Threadripper 3960X 24 core
32Gb RAM
Nvidia GTX 1080 TI
DirectX and VS distributables all up to date.
I'm running the latest Steam version (not beta).
