Has anyone put together a list of each Ship's stats?

I did a search using stats but could only find polls of peoples opinions. By the way I presume the number that appears next to a ship (e.g. 6. Lugger, 4 Fleut etc) is a simple proxy for the ships size.

Cheers.

Hey hangar18 ive been thinking of gathering average ships stats, ( size, cannons, speed, manouverabilty, crew) how would u like to help me compile stats for each ship? And i wouldnt mind a nice artistic screen shot of each, i can make loading screens for them with your compiled info... and maybe a lil quote from a pirate or sailor. For some reason i cant take screen shots.

What say ye Hangar?

Why not. I'll put the stats together in an excel sheet or something. How do I upload files so you can access them?

There used to be such an Excel-file on the main site, I think, but with the main site offline, I don't know if it's still available anywhere. I don't think I have it on my HD either. I did find a list of statistics from ships in the stock game, but that list is obviously highly out of date. I attached the file to this post.

BTW: You can make screenshots using the F9 key in the game. The shots get saved as .tga files in your main PotC folder. Alternatively, you can press PrintScreen on the keyboard, then go into Paint (or any other imaging program) and press Edit > Paste. Doesn't either of these menthods work?

Aye aye! U can contact me hangar in msn if u want... address is da_kub@hotmail.com. I was just thinking if the loading screen can be a gif? or an animation file? I could make it like a slide show... but dont know how long it laods and how much time the viewer has to read... i just got a lil problem wen i open the tga files the water is missing... its just the blank canvas of my program... im using adobe... Maybe we can have a small competition... submit the best screen shot of each ship? The prize is that ull have ur name on the screen shot? something like 18 screen shots... one of each boat.

I was thinkin of something like this, under the schooner pic we would have choosen spec of the ship... and other interesting stuff...

Here you go guys. Every ship in the game, in a .CSV file that can be loaded into any spreadsheet, including Microsoft Works. This list is from the May 30 2006 update. (edited)

This list is too big to compile by hand, so I wrote a program to do it. This will make it easier to update when new versions come out.

I don't think so. I think random loading screens should be possible, but the only animation in the loading screens consists out of the turning orb-like thingey. The screens themselves are static images.
