Help I can't capture ships

I believe that there is a bug when it comes to capture ships with un-assigned officers, even when the hero character has adequate tactics level.

And it's not just me, the people at playlogicgames forum are also saying the same thing.

GrayAngel, please make sure that this gets fixed in the upcoming patch.

I haven't really had that problem.

Keep in mind that you must have sufficient crew members to fulfill the minimum required crew for the new ship, without exceeding the minimum crew limit needed for your own ship.

lol, dont forget you need 4 points in...tactics? is it....says right on the tool tip, only 1 ship per 2 points...ie 4 for 2 boats, 6 for 3, 8 for 4, and 10 for a max of 5 boats

to capture a ship you need

1 - a spare officer
2 - enough sailors on the boat you used to take over the target to equal the minimum req to run BOTH boats
3 - 4 points in tactics

I cant capture ships with the mod either. I am lvl 6 with 4 points in tactics. I have a spare officer who is lvl 4 and we cant capture a schooner? we have more than enough spare crew but the "capture ship" button is grayed out.

I got the same problem with this, some times I can capture a ship, sometimes it doesn't work. In my current game I captured a ship, sold it and restocked my sailors. left the harbour and boarded another ship (same class as the one I just sold) but couldn't capture it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Something else to consider, it seems if you are escorting a ship somewhere, that ship counts against the number of vessels under your command. Just something folks may not be taking into consideration.
