well, i don't know. although i've seen it discribed plenty of times. let's see if someone else wants to tell.

well theres maya and 3ds max, and then theres gmax, which is based on 3ds max. its a bit simpler to use. i use 3ds max, but i don't know how you would convert the files to be suitable for the game.

texturing can be done in the 3d programs aswell, in 3ds max you can use a modifier called uvw unwrap, but i find it a bitch to use.
