[HELP] Pirate's quest help

Seems that nowhere on the internet says anything about the pirates mission other than "Edward low"
For starters... is the dude in Bermuda the one that gives ALL the pirates quests or is it Morgan?

Second... i have read that i will need to do a nation quest line BEFORE the pirates one..so do i need to finish it or just get to the part where i take over a city in their name? *don't like to be view as a patriotic good guy even tough i have bloody assassin rep*

Third... quests here don't give much help when and IF it gets written on the quest log.. u don't know if u made the right choice to complete it or if the quest is DESIGN to be failed/rejected like the "Curacao: A Violent Induction of Celebrity Pirates" from the English quest line where all the pirates refuse ... basically i want to know the "Evil" choices i can take in the quests.

Fourth... i have been searching for the quest "Morgan's Pearl Tip" yet cant find any guide/help.. do i need to sink the ships when i get to north bay-Turks? or do i need to store all my ships buy a smaller one so i can Board them one by one to get something?

That's about it.. would appreciate any and all help i can get... love this game even tough is buggy like heck =P

I can answer to some of your questions:
1. All the pirate quests are given by Morgan but there are some "complications" along the way... If you talk to the pirate governors and get the "Sharpe" (or Sharp) name from them this trigers pearl divers sidequest which gives surpreme rewards.
2. About the pirate/national quest lines not every thing is so simple. If I remember correctly at least one of the national quest lines includes killing Morgan
3. About the "Morgan's Pearl Tip" quest - it is quite simple - just go where he told you before the deadline and you will see lots of tartanas. Just get glose to each one in succession and you will get their pearls. You don't need to fight or such; but when you get at the tactical map near the island DO NOT get back to the sea map untill you collected enough pearls or the quest will fail.

Yes i think i get the Sharpe name when i buy the pearl divers map... they tell me to look for him in brothels..

The quest of Morgan's pearl tip was having problems thanks to my dumb companions sinking the boats.... I'm playing as Blood and i was *in one profile* am *in another because had to start a new game like 8 times already* doing the English quest line in order to be able to conquer cities *Don't want to help any of them i don't want any good rep*...

I read somewhere that Morgan gives you a quest that u need to conquer panama and that's why u need to do a nation quest line first *kinda dumb if u ask me* i am currently sleeping with the bordello girls and the barmaid in order to decrease my rep...

Quick out of topic question.. is marrying Isabella worth it at all? what does she give u etc because i'm not about to give up sinking ships or being a pirate *takes most of the fun away*.

You don't have to fight, what about the sharks do they attack you?

Sharks? Those are the lowly tartanes. They don't have cannons at all. If we are talking about the same quest of course

Most players seems to agree marrying Isabella is not worth doing. No one could find some real benefit from it so if you want to make it maybe you should do it when you finish everythign else and are going to stop palying the game - king of retirement

If you don't want to load a early savegame and leave them in the port then command them to stand still and unequip their guns. (You can take their powder but they will still have one salvo left).

Thanks to everyone that has answered my questions...fun game, buggy and even worse no tutorial/guides ... i haven't played the one before this one so don't know much about the controls/way to play... I have read somewhere that doing ONE of the paths should unlock the ability to conquer towns yet it seems you cant do the pirate nation unless u already got it .. now doesn't that suck?

Really wish someone would make a pirate guide but till then ill help where ever i can.. ALSO wish that someone with enough coding/modding exp can make an EVIL/Pirate version of Isabella =P now wouldn't THAT be fun???

Well i am now in the Panama quest and already took over Portabello and panama, found the key, Went to the fake treasure box Morgan said to go to, went back and talked to the sailor who said Morgan left etc etc...

How do i progress it from there?.. quest log said that the ship is in X coast i go there i run from another spanish ambush and get to the ship yet it doesn't get updated ...

What do i do from there? i have read that some people go to Morgan's residence and the secretary says he is in London and will b back in a year wish most have waited and nothing happened... so i ask is that a bugged quest or hasn't anyone been able to proceed from there?

Unfortunately, I haven't got savegames before that quest, so I cannot complete the pirates questline, neither stop it killing Morgan (and consequently I cannot start a national questline )

Is there any method to complete the quest?

It is a bug. You must not remove the pearls from your inventory or the quest will not be recognized.

There ""might"" b a way but i'm not 100% sure.... is a cheating solution ... u need to download CheatEngine .. if u got vista put admin privileges on it and run it FIRST before u run the game... make sure the game is in windowed mode also otherwise it will crash when u alt tab... then u got to search for the number of the pearls which you need to put the Value type to TEXT ... try and see if it works

Hello, i am doing the panama quest and, since i never attacked a fort, i would love to know some tips about how to do it.
What i noticed is that well , i need a good boat. I'm using a man-of-war ship, and on the first maybe 10 (real life) minutes i think i destroyed around 20 cannons.
It was all good, then i started stopping destroying those cannons.
I was doing the same stuff i used to do few minutes before, but fort's cannons simply weren't going down.
After maybe 20 minutes i quit the game cause cannons were at around 52/82, my ship was ok but i felt that other ships weren't helping me at all (and i was unlucky with the wind as well).

So, is there any tip u can give me, and is there also a fast way (let's say, <1 hour rl time) to get the fort?

Do you have to attack the fort in that mission? Anyway my tips would be.

1. Stock up on plenty of bombs and powder, you will need them.

2. Upgrade cannons to 42 pounders at the pirate settlement.

3. Focus your firing on one part of the fort, when you are no longer destroying cannons move to a new spot trying to stay out of range of the fort cannons if possible (this is why you need 42 pounder cannons)

4. repeate step 3 and move to new location, keep repeating till you have destroyed the forts guns and are able to attack the troops in side.

5. Once you have killed all the forts troops you will be given the open padlock showing you can move onto the next location ie the town, if you do not see the symbol for allowing you to move on then there are still troops alive in the fort.

6. Kill all troops in the town and speak with the govener, or general govener depending upon which town it is your attacking, and thats it.

giuliootto, if you were talking to Morgan's secretary then you were almost there. he told you Morgan is in his residence, correct? if you turn to your right and walk up the steps inside the house where the secretary you will enter another room with Morgan sitting behind a desk. talk to him, viola, you are on to your next mission.

yes, it's correct. The problem is that Morgan is not in that house. Neither behind the desk or in the room upstair.
Maybe it's a bug? Or I have to reach a certain rank (at the moment I'm level 12).

there are several houses around the carribbean that say 'morgan's house'. i don't recall where they all are(i didn't need to use any others). i know there is one in Santo domingo another in fort-de-france(i think you can enter this one through the underground labrynth).

where were you arrested and thrown in jail? i would search there first unless of course that was port royal.

I got the mission, in Cuba pirate setlement, to escort a pirate to Morgan on Port Royal.
Then, in Port Royal, I was arrested and thrown in jail (I play with Peter Blood).
Morgan free me from jail. I escaped from Jamaica... Done a lot of mission... Buy the forgive with English and return to Port Royal for the next Pirate mission... But Morgan is not here...

I will continue to find. For now I check also in the S.th Jonhn's underground labrynth but is not here...

oops, i was wrong not santo domingo- rather santiago, on cuba. last house on left just under the church. i think maybe the center one too. who knows maybe morgan has house on santo domingo too. it took me a long time to find morgan after he released me from prison in port royal too, but that was because i didn't know where to look. i finally learned that he had a residence in port royal and found him there on first try, but granted many months later. i am playing a french national so it is not dependant upon that unless maybe you are dutch or spanish and would therefore be an enemy of english. if so i would try santiago.
