When I started the game I chose to alliance myself with the pirates. And now I can’t get a letter of marquee form a nation. The governors house is always closed even the house of the head pirate at the isle of Mona is closed is this a bug ??? And how can you attack friendly ships? My crew won’t fire at them in the POTC you got the option of raise pirate flag

are the nations hostile towards you ? because then you can't visit the governors' house.

Also keep in mind that not ervy isle has a gov. check the manual to find out where they are.

And for the pirate boss ... yes that is completyly normal because he's part of the MQ...

The problem is that with the english version did not come a manual overhere at least it didn't im still hoping for an .pdf manual to come out.

There is an English language manual and it does come inside the DVD box... If you didn't get it, contact the store where you bought the game from! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

Yeah i did but they said since i already opened it i can't exchage it, however i already sended an email to atari now it's waiting to see what they say.

To fire on friendlies you need to go to first-person (TAB) and aim the targets on them and fire.

You can't get a Letter of Marque because they all hate your guts. It's not a bug that the house is closed on Isla Mona. That is still a part of the story line.

Did you try to visit the man in the tavern on Isla Mona to patch up your relationship with a nation?

no i will go back to the island and talk with the man in the tavern but not all th nations hate me just england and holland. the rest is neutral.

any word on how to change the controles for the globel map ?

I don't know if you can change the keys on the world map. Have you tried hitting ESC and going to options to see if you can reconfigure them?

you can assing some keys in your SAVE/profile/options folder (like arrows is on land becouse the game always sais that the keys are already usd , wich is not true)

i think it would be nice if we could edit the man in the tavern cause he doesn't really set it to neutral so'it could use some fixing up.

I assume that is controlled through the RelationAgent_dialog.c in the dialogs folder. Here's the bottom line on that:

yeah i looked at that but i couldn't really see anything that sets the ralation level, see the problem is that this relations person only sets your relation to a bare minimum and in that case you still can't do any trading. A good cheat for this would also be a solution lol maybe something where you can set what your current nation is and also have that flag, kinda like in the build mod for potc where you can choose your flag, it would help a lot of people specilly if your into the trading game.
