Henry Morgan at Port Royale

Yes I use Photoshop for it.

In the topic "City of Abandoned Ships Gameplay & Tips" I found the Neptune ship (38 cannons). Is she the Henry Morgan ' ship? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o)
Of course, we can't import this ship in POTC (I'm right Pieter ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> ). So what ship should we use for Henry Morgan ? Any idea ? Do we need a new skin for the ship ?

We can put ships from CoAS in PotC. The question is whether we should. We agreed to not put unmodified ships from other games into PotC, but we do like to add retextured ones.

bartolomeu ask me, if i can retexture the "neptuneship" to "Jamaica-Merchant" and that is my result.

Wow. Pretty! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Wonderful work ! Yo ho ho ! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbs1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":2up" border="0" alt="thumbs1.gif" /> Now, we have the ship !!

I was very unhappy with the first version of the "JamaicaMerchant". So i´ve done a redone bevor releasing the ship.

The first:

The New One:

don't get me wrong, it's great work, but that kind of decoration and especially that amount is not something i'd imagine to see on the stern of a ship. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> there's usually windows and a few statues amongst the decorations. the decorations you have put on where used to fill in the empty spaces.

There are ships that actually do have rather a lot of decoration on the stern and hardly any windows, such as the Prins Willem:
<img src="http://www.thetallshipsraces2008denhelder.nl/Portals/2/Prins%20Willem.JPG" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I think I do prefer the previous stern though; the new one seems a bit too much. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

you´re right. but all the ships look like the same. On all ships are the same figures.

i wanted to create a diffrent shiptexture. OK the stern is heavy overload. i will change it.

Pieter, where is that ship ("Prins Willem") moored? Is it replica or she was kept like 'Victory'?

EDIT: Doesn't matter; I googled and wikipedied and now I know her wereabouts.

It's a replica moored at Den Helder, The Netherlands. We also have the "Amsterdam" in Amsterdam and the "Batavia" in Lelystad. I don't think there are any real VOC ships left.

i wanted to create a diffrent shiptexture.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->That's true. Good job on trying to make <i>different</i> ships. Indeed there's no point in making the same ship over and over again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

you're right <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

Another version.
I think the best one.

I like that stern a lot better. Good job! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

yes, way better. but that lateen looks more like a square sail, and there's no taper in the sails at all. they're completely square. i agree with thomas on this one.
