How can I get rid of the bounty on my head?

Those pesky Englishmen put 25k on my head and now I have bounty hunters following me around everywhere - and naturally they ambush me right after the big battles when my crew numbers are down or when I try to sail my newly <strike>stolen</strike> acquired ships to safety... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

Pirate port, tavern, diplomat. I would like to make peace with *Insert name here* dialog. The diplomat can help you get rid of nation hostilities, provide you with merchant patent ( allow you to dock in ennemy port as long you have their flag out on your ship ), they can get you also a privateer license ( letter of marque )

N.B.: Im playing the french version so some name may NOT be 100% accurate i.e.: privaterer license and so on.

trade licenses will let you dock, unless you get a really high bounty on your head lol i had to make peace with spain cause i could not even look at one of their towns without the fort firing on me
