How do you sack a city that isn't an enemy?

Let's put it this way, say I want to sack a Spanish city how do I do that without having to attack 10 or more of there ships in order to get them to hate me? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

When there is a sum above yer head they gonna hate you. Do something against one nation and do it consiquently. What you do (plunder cities and /or attack ships depends on you. Sacking Cities is a point of strategy. Search a good starting point, hide in forests and use the territory for your deeds. It´s imortant not to get much hits from their units and use flankattacs.

Its been answered a fair few times this one <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> You can land on shore and walk into a city, that will give you the option to attack every city providing you are not massively outmanned.

Or sail around the outside of the city for a min pushing the space bar, this will lob shots into the city until that single city becomes aggressive towards you. Note this does not massively affect that entire nations standing towards you.

If they have a sea defence grid it starts firing at you and you can then sail into the city to being a land battle. If not you sail in once youve fired enough and the attack option is there.
