How Many Officers to ye got..

I am a Captain in the British Royal Navy...And have a total of 11 officers on me ship....(well not all of them are officers)

1st Mate

2nd Mate

2 Lieutenants
2 Midship Men
1 Doctor
1 Marine Leader
3 Marines ((for boardings))

Well I'm just curious, How many officers do ye got for yourself....?

I used to hire on as many as I could, but lately (especially when playing at the higher difficulty levels) I've not hired more than necessary - so I usually have the typical contingent of three that come along with me when I wish to have some help in a fight, and three more that stay with the ship - they are "pilot" types - they can sail a ship - and I use them to captain my prize ships.

My "bodyguard" group may change - depending upon how they do in a boarding - if they live, they stay, if they die, I hire another... I've got enough money to make these hireable officers "disposable" - unless of course, I truly miss their ugly mugs, then I might reload the game to the last save and `re-do` it so they survive. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

IF I have a second ship - sometimes I do - I will give that captain some officers with good repair and cannon abilities to use in a sea battle. But that's about all.

I always carry six, three as body guards, and three as pilots plus the ones we pick up as quest officer. If I get tired of carrying them I just let them board until they meet their fate, except for Danielle who can't ever die.
