How to install the modpack???

Can someone tell me how to install the modpack?
On the side it sais this:

1) Install your stock Pirates of the Caribbean
2) Install Build 12 on top
3) Extract the modpack on top
4) If you want any additional mods, download them on this page and follow their installation instructions
5) Run "LangSwitchEnabler.bat"
6) Tweek your preferred settings in PROGRAM\BuildSettings.h
7) Start the game

9) Start a new game and HAVE FUN!

I did 1 and 2
I extracted the modpack in my POTC folder
I cant find langswitchenabler????


Im one step further now, it was the installation that didnt went well.
I tried to install it again but it sais:
Could not communicate to the network server, Error 3
404 not found...

anyone knows what to do?
 
The Post Build 12 site seems to be down at the moment. "LangSwitchEnabler.bat" is only in the modpack update; I don't think it's in the main modpack yet. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
The site is still down? Anyway the installer stil doesnt work....?

I know. Keith is changing some stuff to give me more webspace, but that does mean the site is down now. Sorry for that. I reckon it'll be fixed in a couple of days. I would prefer to fix it today, but I'll be gone the next few days.

Pirates Ahoy has changed server so Pieter's page is at:

Note it is the same as before except it is .org and not .net!

Hmm the site's up again but the installation stil doesn't work. Maybe because the sites url is changed?

I'm sorry I haven't been around the prevous days. I would've tried to help you earlier, but that's rather hard if you're sailing a ship near Den Helder. Anyway: If you still want to try, I will try to help you getting it to work.

My site is up again, so you can download what you need again. But the new islands mod hasn't yet been uploaded (I haven't had time for that yet).

Try to do this: Install PotC and Build 12, then download the Post Build 12 mod Current Base Version (125 MB) and extract that on top using WinZip. Then try to run the game and see if it works.
 
I cant start a new game:

installed stock potc
installed build 11
installed build 12 (i can play)

installed post build (i could still play)
installed update for additional downloads en Building feature ( gives black screen!
 
Did you install all additional mods first? You need the New Islands mod (currently unavailable; will be fixed soon), Building Set, Corsairs III Models and Daede Character Models all installed. After that you can install the full update. Could you show your error.log file if it still happens? If you don't know how to turn on error logging, see <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php?showtopic=5424" target="_blank">this</a> page.
 
Oh so if i only want the w=building set i must download all islands?
and i wondered when i only had installed the building feature, i could play, but when i tried to build something i heard the timber noise, but i couldnt see a building.

oh, thats why i could play when i just only installed the building feature, when i installed the full update it was pffft, couldnt play any more.
 
i've installed:
-stock game
-build 12
-post build 12 (125 mb)

Do i also have to install all the other mods, or are these in the 125 mb file??
 
The other mods are not included in the 125 MB file yet. However, it might be best to stick to the version you have now. When you install a lot of additional stuff, things might get messy and not work properly anymore. In a few days, I will try to make a new version including everything.

You should raise French colours through the F2 > Nation Relation screen before leaving Oxbay port. You should be able to fool those French then. However, sometimes it doesn't work, so save before you leave Oxbay.

BTW: The new islands mod is unavailable at the moment. I will reupload it tomorrow; I don't have time today. But I <i>can</i> log into my webspace again, thanks to Keith!

Is the new islands mod a big improvement>?
Also the walking in the game is a bit buggy.. is this normal?
 
Thew islands mod does exactly what the name suggests: It adds more islands with new locations and new characters. However, this mod is still unfinished. There are new islands in mapmode, you can sail around them and land at some locations. However, you can't land on all islands yet.

The island mod sounds nice <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

About the walking: some time you kind of fly in the air.. most of the time when you walk near stairs.
 
That sounds weird. Are you using the sidestep buttons when walking near those stairs? I can imagine you could end up floating then. If you don't use sidestep, I don't know why that happens.
