i cant get build 12 2 work...

I have just downloaded build 12, i i can not get it to work. I have read the instructions but i do not get it <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> I have been lookin on the web for some instructions <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/type_1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":nk" border="0" alt="type_1.gif" /> but i can not find any <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> can someone pls help <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

What does the program do when you try to run it, Scallywagjack?

Was PotC working before you installed B12?

Are you in US/UK or do you have a localized version of the game?

If you are elsewhere, you will need to run the "runme.bat" program in your PotC folder. Do you get any loading screens? Can you get into the game at all? Is there an error message? If there is an error message, could you copy it here?

In your PotC directory you may be getting error logs. They'd be any file that has a .log extension - and they can be opened in any text editor like Notepad, to view. If you could copy them here, it would help.

How did you install B12, through the online installer, or did you get the full version all at once?

If you're in the UK and used the online installer, I expect the bug you're having is that when you start a new game, you end up with a black screen. Right? If that is the case, download the full installation file instead and install that. For some reason, the online one won't work with all Euro-versions.
