I just lost to the most beautiful ship *sigh*

I just lost a high pitched battle to the nicest looking ship I have seen yet. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />
It was the battleship done by Rafe Bligh and Muddymonkey. Those cursed Dutch with their armor made mincemeat of my poor sailors. I am now so enamored with how nice it looked, I am sailing around the Caribbean attacking every ship I can find it hopes of finding it again. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />
Why oh why was I so unlucky on my battle! On a side note, I don't know if either of those guys are around, but kudos on an absolutely beautiful texture! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" />
 
Well thank you Doober! I'm not around much as I haven't had POTC installed for more than a year now. Stopped in today to see if there was anything new going on with Pirates! as I have a career going in that game.

I take it you're talking about that gaudy black and gold thing with the clover leaf motif? My favorite has always been the Unicorn Corvette, although the last time I checked (build 11 or 12?) it didn't have the latest texture that I had sent in some time ago, as apparently it wasn't clear that all of the ships including the older ones had been re-painted when I submitted all twelve as one package. I might have a better texture for that battleship and the corvette if the old ones weren't overwritten as they should have been. I think I saved them somewhere, but God only knows where!

Sent them tp your hotmail account Pieter. Don't know if they'll get there without bouncing though. About a 2,5 mb zip file.

Before you go to the trouble of changing things, there may be an easy way to tell whether or not those textures have been updated. If you have a chance, look at the Unicorn Corvette. If the frames around the windows are black, the textures have been updated. If the frames around the windows are a tan color, the texture is the old one that was left over from the muddymonkey mod. I think the re-painted textures are nicer than the old ones that I had previously done, and although the changes may seem insignificant to some, I have found that the small things matter in the end.

Thanks a lot for that. I got it. Apparently it first got moved to my unwanted e-mail folder (where almost all e-mails end up), but I found it anyway and turned the spam-filter down a notch. I dunno, I never liked the battleship in the Builds... it was always something not particularly beautiful that is just barely better than a galleon or frigate, and much inferior to the most beautiful monster, the manowar. Am I right in saying that only the Corvette is different from the ones in the Build? The other skins seem to be exactly the same according to my comparision program.

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Arrgh, she be a 70 gun English battleship beauty, I can take her against a man o war easily, plus I have a little more manouverability and speed. I kept my light frigate though. They are still the best pirating vessel on the high seas, you just can't beat their speed and manouvering. I usually order it to go attack fleeing vessels and then lumber over myself to finish it off. Its just alot of fun to join in on the big fleet battles with the battleship and go toe to toe with the big boys.
