i need some help

it doesn't have to. the reason why something like that would be done is to partially decrease the pressure but still generate pulling power. it could easily be so on a single sail. but if it get's fixed, it would look better.

i can live with it but but it will look better without it. the lineship1 and lineship2 have a .qch file in their maps where are these for?

no and the lineships not. i replaced the masts from the pearl for the other ones, does it have anything to do with that?? the others sails are good..

finally! i find out what the problem is <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> . i tried some things with the locators and i know what was wrong: the game switches the y positions and the z positions of the locators! wierd <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> ..

Excellent! Congratulations! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

If you just substituted the masts from a different model (BlackPearl), and pinned them to your new model (SOL 74 gun), then there will be rigging mismatches (the ropee<->ropeb, vant, etc locator info might be wrong) and the sails might look strange. So, you'll need to ensure that your sails and rigging are correct (this includes Sails, Ropes, and Vants). Inez Diaz TOOL -> open GM model(s) [hull, masts, reys] -> View/Locators.

See <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11039" target="_blank">this rigging tutorial thread</a> for more info. There is also a link to ropes, sails, and flags tutorial on the POTCwiki in that thread.

and here is another screen. the flag is here attached with the tortuga fort <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" /><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I'm bumping this up, because it is an issue that might come up again, and a solution was never posted.

The solution is to make sure that the distance between F1 and F2, (possible also between F3 and F4) must be more than .5 units.

Otherwise, the ship flag is too short and the game somehow applies the data to the fort flag.
