I definately did ask this question, but I did so for POTC - I also got a reply, so my question now is what is different between making a character for POTC, and Age of Pirates? is it more or less the same process as POTC?

I think so.
The main difference seems to be the advanced fighting. So a character uses some new animations.
But its only a guess.

Texturing is the same, convert them from tx.tga to tga, and then open the tga one in photoshop.

What is the name of the male default character's model? Also, how do you take a different model, and use that as your avatar's model?
